Even though mcinnes is overrated and has had very favourable circumstances over the years in his favour, he has still done a good job and I would love if tu be in the position of having a manager for 5-10 years due to consistency
We had it to a degree with Levein and Houston over 6 years with Houston being assistant and taking over but not quite the same as one manager doing well for long term
Don't buy into things need to be freshened up after a few years or it goes stale, you will get the odd average season here and there but if the majority are good then stick with it if the manager has proven he can build multiple sides that do well
Can they set the record tonight?,not sure as Celtic concede plenty especially with that keeper.

Congratulations are still in order though as they have managed 500 minutes without scoring and in this Scottish Premiership that is some achievement.
I've always thought McIness was bang average manager at best, turgid football. When he took over Craig Brown had built the spine of a decent team - Hayes, McGinn, then he was able to add Flood/Robson. For most his tenure he has had first choice on best of rest players after Celtic due to various implosions at Hibs, Rangers, Hearts, Utd, but his signings are predictable, and even when they sign attack minded players they still end up playing conservative football with a big lump up front. Safe set of hands I'd say at best, but he is never going to get a team beyond their natural ceiling, and they had a window of 5-6 years due other sides implosions to maybe challenge and win a few cups but never threatened.
He wouldn't have been able to reinvent Utd like Levein/Houston, or hit the hits of McNamra the season we were playing unbelievable football. On the other hand he would have prob kept us up with regular mid table finished playing unexciting stuff with a big guy up front likely and seasoned pros ahead of youngsters.
