McInnes is very average football.

Never hit the heights despite massive opportunity with a bit of money and rangers out of the picture.

All the signals are that he will be sacked at end of season, same with Lennon

Other than lift more silverware in the cups, I'm not sure what else McInnes could've done over the years? He went into an Aberdeen side that were consistently finishing 8th/9th and hasn't had them out of the top four since, including four 2nd place finishes. Yes he's had a bit of money, but money means f*ck all in the Scottish Premiership if you aren't one of the big two. His predecessors all had money yet Aberdeen were never as consistent as they are under McInnes. He's had to rebuild year after year but has still put a team on the park to challenge second/third place. Could he work without money? Who knows. Whilst he does sign players he's familiar with, he has picked up a few gems from down south over the years as well. Aberdeen fans need to be careful what they wish for imo.
