#dryjanuary last night I tried some Kombucha an alcohol alternative. Didn’t make my own after reading l ‘May Cause Bloating and Digestive Distress’ or kill you. Didn’t like it much. Like green tea & ginger beer. Trouble is ordered a load of cans. Maybe nice with vodka in Feb?

Right.....is Mike Ashley's lawyer just taking the piss? Or is he hinting becasue the 'cans' comment doesn't fit at all unless it's one or the other.
If that is a piss take. . . bit of a cruel one, by someone that hasn't been particularly cruel towards the fans before.

However, I refused to have rise to hope. As said . . . torturing ourselves.

Good first point Tanya, I reckon letting the deal go through and maintaining that it was all about piracy and broadcast rights etc. would be a premier league masterstroke and let them say the big six had no influence....but I`m not a lawyer or a corrupt football club owner so what would I know. Good PR for the Prem tho...I`ll give them a ring in the morning....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... with our luck the deal will go through in Feb, football will be shut down the day after and the world will go into a worsening lockdown for the next ten years by which time I`ll likely be dead of frustration anyway

we have more and more sophisticated testing - no available are spit tests which return results in 3-10 mins with 99% accuracy.
we have 3 approved vaccines from US or UK suppliers plus the Russian and Chinese vaccine.
So this pandemic is only going one way - eradication.

The GCC heeling it's wounds is huge.

The Premier League earns £500 Million from BeIN rights. The regional broadcast rights are currently being renegotiated which will/should see an even bigger deal being signed.

What has to be understood is that the basic legal position of everything.

Ashley's QC is not someone who plays games. DeMarco is the No.1 Football Lawyer. Regardless of his Tweets etc the man is a QC/Silk. The man has a reputation and is a licensed legal professional. Everything he is doing is completely the best for his client.

The key issue is precisely what the legal case/arbitration is he has been tasked to pursue by Ashley. It could be simply that Ashley want's 300M from the premier league for falsely blocking a sale they couldn't legitimately reject.

The bigger picture is that the O&D test is weak. It will be revamped once the sale of NUFC goes through. However despite all this nonsense there is no legal reason by this takeover won't go through so it's a matter of when not if.

BTW I'm not getting my hopes up.

I just want to make it clear that the fact of who is involved and who the players are, it's geopolitically complex and tied to some very delicate strategic relationships.

I'm not getting cans out etc just waiting for the law and common sense to prevail.
