Good point. Monday is even milder. Hopefully common sense will prevail if it's off, since neither team is in action till next weekend.

If you want them chilled more mate I’d stick them ootside at the back door and save yourself the leccy.

Does not sound hopeful. Fingers crossed though common sense can prevail and if match is off today then can try tomorrow

I think its supposed to work at temperatures lower than 1 degree, there would be no point having it if that's as good as it gets.

Another inspection at 13.30pm. One section of the pitch not thawing. Sounds like part of the heating has failed.

Not sure of the exact temperatures it works too but it should be good up to the - 7'c mentioned. A lot depends on the system, its age, how it's been maintained etc etc. Costs can run anywhere between £1000-£3000 for a 24 hr period depending on the condition of the system. Ours is ancient and I don't imagine it's maintained too well either.

I'm not so sure ours is 'ancient'. I'm trying to find a newsfeed about the pitch being totally renovated close season 2018 at substantial cost. If I can find it I'm sure it'll say the heating system was upgraded at the same time. Why wouldn't it when there was the opportunity. Anyone remember?
