I know they have. He's probably just weighing up other options.
No loyalty in football these days although he is happy scoring goals at Palmerston so hopefully he'll stay.

As long as he has an extension then let clubs come in for him. He hasn't got the stature for the higher leagues, - but people who score goals will always interest others. If he was the height of Cosgrove, - that would be a different matter altogether.

If we do hold on to him and he continues to score goals then his worth will increase exponentially, - look at the value placed upon Kevin Nisbet for example.

Fingers crossed that an offer doesn't come in for Shields late on but I still fear that it as much the will of the agent as opposed to the player that decides their these days.

I think Shields is safely at Queens for the time being.

Still important to try and sign him on a contract extension before some of these clubs come in and snap him up on a pre contract agreement leaving on a free at the end of the season as we have seen numerous times before. I wonder what his agent will be advising him as I guess all he can see is the bucks.

Once his agent becomes involved it’ll be the case of sit back and see who offers the best deal unfortunately. He hasn’t accepted the new offer from Queens yet which suggest he’s doing exactly that.
He’s definitely got the potential and ability to play at a higher level.
