Apparently, it's automatic, if the players' wages aren't paid, which makes sense. You can't allow clubs to spend money on transfers when their current players aren't getting paid.

Not really. I think he's dragged the club down over the past few years

As Ram says, the minute the players wages were not paid an auto embargo kicked in!
It won't be released until wages are paid fully up to date! If we had any specific targets let's hope the delay hasn't buggered us up!

Bit harsh imo. He’s made mistakes for sure, but I’ve lost count of those - players, managers and executives - who’ve let him down.
We might be better off without him. He’ll certainly be better off without having to fund DCFC.

Maybe he's built a legacy that we'll come to appreciate in years to come with his investment in the academy?

The theory was sound, start up and invest in an academy which will make the club self sufficient in years to come. But, this will take a few years to bear fruit, in the meantime purchase players to take the club forward.

It's the second part which has gone wrong and he has been guilty of being a bit too generous with a couple of managers.

I'm with OTR, he's put us in a worse position than he took us. But he's from Derby and an "astute businessman", so beyond criticism for many.
