Why should he have a positive legacy? His ego is part of the issue, "he's one of our own" went straight to his head. A couple of playoff chances has cost us big time, and hiring a big time Charlie in Rooney doesn't hide that his tenure has been more than unsuccessful. The whole thing is a big mess and there's only one person with his finger on the button.

"erm, sorry lads, we've been scammed......"

Even assuming that this takeover goes ahead or not, does anyone believe that further money will be invested in the club anyway. Some dreamed of Manchester City like wealth being showered around at Pride Park: based on what we have seen so far its going to be a far cry from that. The investor might look like a duck, but in this case he doesn't seem to be able to quack or swim like one. I fear Eeyore may have been correct a month ago.

Didn't Ryan Conway say last week that when Stephen Pearce said the money has been sent to the lawyers what he meant was the sheikhs lawyers not the clubs

Going back to Wayne’s ‘Plan B’...presume this means incoming loans rather than actual signings.
That might not be a bad thing...with so much uncertainty what we need is a couple of incomers, preferably of the Leon Osman ilk from 17 (?) years ago, to provide some leadership and gumption...but can we even bring in loans at a time when the current squad’s wages remain unpaid?
I suspect not, but both Morris and any potential buyer need to quickly recognise that all that matters right now is survival and there is less than a fortnight left for strengthening.

Nope. I'm not sure how much spend is permitted under FFP now anyway? I'm not confident in the new owners at all, unfortunately I'm not confident in the devil we know either.

Well seeing the club can only spend what it earns plus the permitted losses and that we are probably right on the limit there the only other way to get money in is the stadium naming rights so let's hope we can get a few billion from that
