    Almost there.... takeover done!

According to sources the takeover is all but complete with only the money swapping hands which is on route to solicitors....

Rooney to be named as Manager and funds then available for transfers to be released....

Players will be paid correctly as this couldn’t happen at the time as the sale was going through!!

Hopefully true although don't understand players not being paid "correctly" bit

Not a fan then, OTR? You’ll be disappointed to read that he’s staying on as ‘consultant to the new owners’.

Not really. I think he's dragged the club down over the past few years

Bit harsh imo. He’s made mistakes for sure, but I’ve lost count of those - players, managers and executives - who’ve let him down.
We might be better off without him. He’ll certainly be better off without having to fund DCFC.

Maybe he's built a legacy that we'll come to appreciate in years to come with his investment in the academy?

The theory was sound, start up and invest in an academy which will make the club self sufficient in years to come. But, this will take a few years to bear fruit, in the meantime purchase players to take the club forward.

It's the second part which has gone wrong and he has been guilty of being a bit too generous with a couple of managers.
