That’s got to be one of the worst games I’ve ever seen. Highlight was right at the end when the local (Israeli) commentator mentioned Stockport’s FA Trophy game on Saturday against a “shem gadol” (“big name”) club for non-league, Notts County.

If there’s much rain in Stockport between now and Saturday (and when hasn’t there been rain up there?), the pitch is going to look a bit like the Baseball Ground in the 1970s.

Certainly wasn’t a game for the purists and the pitch definitely suffers with the rain, but to be fair to Stockport they never stopped working all game, back to earth with a bump for them on Saturday!

A free hit for us IMO. An opportunity to blow away some cobwebs given we have played very little football in the last 4 weeks or so.
There will be a lot of rustiness, so playing average in this game and losing wouldn’t be harmful to our chances in the medium/long term.
We can’t simply rock up at Huish next Tuesday and perform.

Fair point. For football generally though at our level, it seems silly to be wasting weekends on this competition.

If league matches continue to be postponed at the current rate, something's got to give, and sadly it can only really be the FA Trophy.

Understand Notts are still confident of landing a third new signing. Had anticipated it would be done today - Notts and the player have signed the necessary paperwork but parent club have yet to sign and return the forms.

Two new signings plus another on the way while we have no income make a mockery of what posters think we can afford because we are "skint". It seems the Bros still trust Ardley.

See "Yates and Grant for £100k", the Reedzt would have had them like a shot, IF the story's true.
