What’s interesting - and i think this is the first year they’ve done so - is draw matchups for the following round as well. So whoever wins will face the winner of Southampton/Shrewsbury v Arsenal. Southampton-Shrewsbury has yet to be played due to COVID, but the winner of that match gets Arsenal.

Pretty favorable draw IMO. Arsenal won the Cup last year, but they’ve been very inconsistent this season. Southampton and Shrewsbury are teams we could beat as well.

I don’t think we will be challenging for Europa League spots through the Prem this year - just too many injuries to overcome to compete at a high level on a week to week basis. But a deep cup run would help ease the pain of a “mediocre” league finish

I think the pitch could be a big factor in tonight's game. There has been very heavy rain, in the North West and although the pitch has ben covered, Nuno is concerned about it's condition.
