    Derby v Millers

Hopefully this match will be on
    22nd v 23rd

Many football fans will be familiar with current Rams striker Darren Bent’s famous ‘beach ball goal’ back in 2009 for Sunderland.

But long before that ever happened, Derby County’s Paul Peschisolido scored the coffee cup goal against East Midlands Rivals Nottingham Forest.

In 2004, Derby beat rivals Forest 4-2 at Pride Park, as it was then known as.

The ball was heading towards the Forest goalkeeper Barry Roche, but bobbled into the air which caused him to mis-kick it into the path of Peschisolido, who had an empty net to aim for, this was one of two goals he scored that day.

The coffee cup has since been auctioned, and the goal will be remembered as one of the most bizarre goals in Derby’s history.

Derby County first team players were being Coronavirus tested yesterday ( Monday) in the hope they come back negative. If they do then their training ground can be opened back up Thursday.
This game needs to go ahead, we have enough rearranged games already and at present a free Saturday on the 23rd ( FA Cup day).

What amazes me with footballers and covid is that they are like a light switch, on or off, got it in the squad or haven’t got it.

Surely players will pick it up at different times so statistically there will always be players or staff testing positive somewhere in their club?

    Or is it just bullshine?

Where did you get this? Bent hasn’t played for Derby for a couple of years. He’s retired now ain’t he?

Well let’s hope we don’t get anymore injuries, we could end up three games in a week if EFL have anything to say which they usually do 🤡
