The future? Dont count your chickens.

Listening to the radio it stated that in div 1, div 3 really, there are six or seven ex premier league clubs. Look at Wigan, now they dont have a super rich sugar daddy anymore. Portsmouth, Sunderland...... Even smaller clubs like Peterboro Charlton and Ipswich are huge organisations that make United look like Histon.

Smaller clubs by support are at the bottom end.

There is a ceiling now that cant be passed, there is no pathway for small clubs anymore.

Then there is pressure from the conference, Stockport, Wrexham, Chesterfield, York, these clubs will re emerge, as well as traditional non league clubs wanting their day in the sun.

Let me remind you what United have. Nowt. No ground, no training ground, a few fans, a chairman feeding the masses. And plans for those things no where. Even if United built a new ground it will be standing still, look at Colchester. In the meantime, time is slipping away.

The one hope for Barry is that Cambridge is building new towns everywhere, the population will go up. Most will be a high tech population with a questionable interest in football.

Thats not going to happen for a long time though. In the meantime the chances of being swept away is extremely high. If it happens there will be no coming back.

Is Barry fiddling while Rome burns?

If Mullin and Bonner go whats left? There is nothing else.

    Bonny of Saffron Walden.

You’re right Frank. The best you can hope for is that the season is cancelled.

With both Carlisle and Cambridge doing well it would be shame if the season got cancelled again,It would be great to see both clubs up in the automatics or playoffs and get a chance to gain promotion
