Thread: Where are they Sam?

    Where are they Sam?

Nearly half way through the transfer window, where are the bunch of signings you are urgently requiring?
Let’s face it , not many players would want to come to such a basket case of a club as ours unless being paid mega bucks.
Maybe our world famous monitoring dept are in full swing.

Can’t believe Dowling is still there!!! Why can’t he do the credible thing and resign! Let’s just pray Sawyers/Phillips and Livermore take a knock in training! Do I mean that? To bloody right I do as sick to death of these useless useless c unts getting anywhere near the team!

Let’s hope our striker called ( f uck knows who ) is fit for the weekend!

We’ve tried and tried to acquire at least one or two new players this week but that hasn’t come to fruition just yet. There are still plenty of irons in the fire, but we’ll continue to try until the end of the window to improve the squad for the back end of the season, with the fight that lies ahead of us. “We’ve had three yes that turned into no, so the promises were there and then when it came to the reality of linking the club, the agent, the player, that has been a scenario where - it’s no different to any other January window from that point of view - we get to the final matter and there’s a change, another stipulation that we have to overcome, particularly if they’re from abroad. They’ve either not been available on loan, or they only want to sell. The interest comes in, we ask if we can loan them, they say yes, and in the end they say ‘actually, we don’t want to loan, we want this much money’.

“That is generally an enticement by a club in Europe that tries to get you sucked in in the first place. They think “once they’ve got you sucked in you’ll go all the way. But in our situation we can’t do that. I cannot afford to bring a player into the club’s that not good enough.
Or in other words Sam nobody wants to come and play Dinosaurial football

Asked if any new signings are close, Allardyce said: "Not at the moment.

"We are considering all options – loans particularly, our funds are not big enough for permanent signings. It’s more loans which makes it more difficult.

"And you have got to look at does the player want to come and have a fight at this level?
Be honest Allardyce, nobody wants to come, maybe if we had a younger up and coming manager that was building for the future players might want to join us
Also by the time these so called loan signings have joined us and self isolated, then got up to speed the seasons nearly over.
Close the door behind you Sam

An observation and a suggestion. Given it's part of Dowling's job description to sign players I can't help but think the thread title should be 'Where are they Luke?' The opening post could begin and end with one word used twice. Chop chop.......

In life if you don’t invest the quality goes down hill. Let’s be honest - Wolves were very poor and West Ham are no world beaters and next up is Man City! Will Man City be as merciful with our defence when 1 West Ham player got the better of 3 of our players yesterday to score? Will Robinson and the Welsh International penetrate the Man City defence?

After seeing the match last night with the frailties at the back and no striker - I honestly don’t think there’s any hope! Fulham and Brighton are far superior to us at the moment - just saying the obvious!

With Livermore, Sawyers, Kanu and Robinson who are championship players at best - what do we expect! As 68 pointed out Snodgrass is decent but it says everything for our recruitment team when everyone was devastated last night he couldn’t play!

Get the Satnav ready Bomber to key in Preston and Blackburn next season!

I liked Big Dave as a player but would personally give 50 quid to charity if they come up. I don't think they will as better teams and managers in that league and they were no more than average last year finishing 9th!
