Given that he was playing recently and regularly, and in view of Paul Warne’s comments, this was pretty clearly a Vassel rather than club initiated move.

You can tell from his body language when he is substituted that he feels strongly that he should be playing the full 90 minutes every game - and is pushing to get that at another club by putting his hand up to be loaned out, There can’t be many fans who would agree with his sense of entitlement to more playing time in a Millers shirt so his departure is probably a good thing.

He has a lot of energy and at times looked good in League One but he really isn’t much of a footballer and, more importantly, much of a goal scorer - or maker - in the Championship. The opportunity to replace him with someone better has to be a positive. Let’s hope it happens...

Warne and Barker clearly new Vassell was nowhere near good enough for this level and its a excellent bit of business getting shut .Now all we need is to ship Hirst back to his parent club and actually get a finisher in

In that hes been first choice there must be a replacement in the offing. If not, Im joining Gristy boy on the dark side.

    Good luck to Vassel.

Good luck at Fleetwood, hope it works out there. He won't leave lots of memories of having many good games. 4 goals in 50 odd matches isn't going to make people sit up.

In fairness, he's got worse, can't control a ball and either commits a foul or falls over.

That's 2 spare pogs now, 1 for Chieo and 1 for.....????????

Think he’ll do well at Fleetwood, maybe this is the way he’s going to leave for good.
Can’t argue with it really, think he did well at times but it didn’t seem that he could do it for 90+ mins constantly, not with us anyway

Good luck Vas but when you come up against us forget that bicycle kick

    Good post CT

Yes the bicycle kick against posh and the thunder strike against hull will be remembered in very few bright moments for him.but says it all about his stay that they happened coincidently at the start of the transfer window... roundly I dont think he has been fully on board and indeed good enough.

Don’t think he ever had a chance to play as a striker. Came in when in the championship and was asked to play out left most of the season, due to his all action style suffered regularly from little pulls and niggles, so never had the run he wanted as a striker!

Agreed he has struggles with controlling the ball and when to pass and when to shoot or dribble.

What I liked was his belief and putting defenders on the back foot with his drives forward, never a backward step.

He could score regularly but mainly of the spectacular type, 25 yd bullets, overhead kick etc ! all in all a bit of a Maverick

Good look Vas, hope you go on to more success and end up with a decent career to look back on.

    This is indeed good news.

One space now free in "the 25" (accounting for Ogbene taking up a slot.
