I think given the matches we have and where we are the St Mirren match is going to be massive

Agree with others that powers has done well. Also our problem is passing the ball and at least he can do that, though I feel sometimes he slows it down a bit too much
Disagree on what you said about Powers. One of the main problems with our midfield has been playing the ball far too fast without accuracy and we lose possession. Powers won't play any old pass, he waits to try to play the best one available. It's what makes him look slower than say Harkes Butcher and Pawlett but he's a better player for it.

There, I've said it. I'm sorry.
Interesting. I agree we're not safe but we've had a decent head start. As theArab points out one win in 9 is a worrying stat.

The bonus is that teams below us will keep taking points off each other and Sevco and Sellik will take the points off all of us most of the time. Not all the teams below us will be able to keep their form going right to the end of the season.

I think we'll be fine, but need to put St Mirren away before I can be 100% confident of that.

Butch Wilkins , wasn't exactly shi*e , maybe a wee bit crabby (pun intended) but... even Fyvie knew when to play and release. More power to the Powers

Yep a good example. Slightly different players, but the same goes for Newell and Gogic at Hibs, and Hedges at the Sheep, not fast players but almost always *find a man. As others have said, Powers has had to be very patient while watching Butcher give the ball away and get booked every week. He deserved his chance and he's taken it. DP should keep his place v St Mirren, will be shocking if he doesn't.

    * not having any stats to the opposite, I've watched them a lot!

That's where I stand. Win against Gunboats mob and I'll be a hell of lot more comfortable.😉

"even Fyvie" apologies ..... the "even" was unfair, he was a great player, we got a wee glimpse of his best, then, yet again an injury ruins a players career. Players these days might want to look at FF's career and appreciate just what they have. One day, maybe someday... (song coming on) it might just (hopefully not) happen to them.

To keep my negativity going (it is Miserable Monday isn't it?), supposing we don't get a 0-0 draw (now I'm being sarcastic as well) with St Mirren in 9 days time then you'll not see me on here. Or to paraphrase that, if we don't take 3 points off St F'n Mirren we are in deepish sh!t. GB's on a free hit of course....

Did we give them too much respect last time😁 sure I read that somewhere 😎
Mind you it was so foggy it was hard to tell, I wasn't sure if it was at the stadium or my bedsit was on fire

Yeah I think we did give them too much respect.
They hadn't played for a month.
