We are very much safe now so the rest of the season should be experimenting with the young ones. Eg bring in one or two to see what they have otherwise we will never know and they will go out wasting money again. See what they have and bolster where we are short eg midfield left-back

Disagree Oz, we should be aiming to finish as high in the league as possible, though ive no problem with said approach once each individual game has been put to bed.

Would like to see a few more kids get minutes but not at the expense of winning games, we need to be pushing on and proving to players we want in the summer that we can compete properly for Europe next season.

Just revisiting this to see where we stand, I said 4 wins and 2 draws

    Newcastle (A) Win
    Leicester (A) Win
Everton (H) Loss (though I thought we deserved 3 points)
    Palace (H) Win
    Arsenal (A) Loss
Wolves (A) Loss (Again thought we deserved a point)
Southampton (H) Win (game wasn't originally in this set but moved)
Villa (H) Loss (again don't think we deserved to lose was a draw all day long)
    West Ham (A) Loss
    Chelsea (H) Draw
    Fulham (A)
    Sheff U (H)

So far we have 4 wins and a draw which for me isn't a bad return when you consider that we have been unlucky not to pick up wins or draws against Everton, Wolves and Villa. To have only really been outplayed in one game which was Arsenal is not bad.

Pick up a win and a draw from last two in this run and all is good!

I'm with Oz on this. Once we know we're safe (v soon imho), and recognising we really dont want a place in Europe next season (too soon), then the remaining games should be used to see which of the youngsters are good enough (and if we don't think they are, why are they in the U23s and not out on loan?). We need some to come through, the Academy has to show what its value is.

Think you can accommodate the youngsters and also aim high - want to finish as high as possible as get something like 2m for each place so the extra cash would be good

Respectfully disagree, both on the grounds of the games coming up are in the main against the "better" clubs and if you want to finish high the strongest side in paper needs to be fielded, and on the grounds that our coach diesnt need any excuse to stick with players who too often haven't produced without giving him an incentive of a higher than 12 finish.

As for the cash per place, yes it would be nice, as would the c £3m pi553d away in Cocos wages and the £.5m on JKA ditto (and don't get me started on the list of sh1te that Orta brought in and are still in the clubs books!). Point being, as I said, the Academy has to show value and I can't see how that will ever happen if we don't adopt a different approach than "fix on fail" where U23s/subs have only ever been given game time as a result of injury or suspension (e.g. would Meslier be where he is if Coco hadn't got himself banned?)

Ok, so we're not Blades, but we made Leicester look very ordinary and yet against Blades they (Leicester) were made to look quite special (maybe the Heckingbottam effect already? Billy Sharp was not too happy in his post match comments (boys v men)).

Wilder is a very good manager and knows the game as well as being a top bloke - Heckingbottom hasn’t really done much at all in comparison.

Hope that the ar5ehole owners at Bramall Lane get thoroughly shafted, lose whatever they invested and Blades get new owners equal to Radrizzani and with similar commitment (with or without Wilder)
