Yeovil Town can confirm that our upcoming games against Notts County and Solihull Moors have been postponed.

This is due to a positive COVID-19 case within the Yeovil camp. The club has now entered an isolation period which will end on Monday 25th January.

All associated with Yeovil Town would like to wish the individual a speedy recovery.

This makes Yeovil's disgraceful refusal to play this game earlier in the month when both clubs had a blank Saturday even more ludicrous. The National League need to take control of fixtures and instruct clubs to play games when able, or if the can't be arsed to do anything then just cancel the season and put us all out of our misery.

We should make this a 23 game season, playing everyone once. There's no way all the remaining fixtures can be played by the planned season end date.

A friend has just called me to suggest that Yeovil are using covid as an excuse to get injured players fit again.

If true that would be counter productive, because they are going to have to play 3 games a week soon if their games keep getting cancelled.

Also, do teams have to provide evidence for calling games off due to Covid.

ONE player tests positive and the game is called off?? Thank Christ we’re not wasting Saturdays on meaningless cup competitions.

Farce, call the season off, although I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if that was what these clubs near the bottom are after...

Sorry to be cynical but with our squad we might be better placed than most teams for playing 3 games a week for 4 months. Could it work to our advantage?
