I suspect it was the Sheffield United left back mentioned and they weren't happy with game time, just to point out, we haven't played in 3 weeks (or it seems that way anyway!)
Notts County will step-up their search for a left-back after a deal to sign a defender from the Premier League collapsed at the last minute.
The Magpies had hoped to bring the player to Meadow Lane to help bolster their backline for the remainder of the season and and he had been training with the club.
But despite Notts signing the paperwork and believing the deal would go ahead, the Premier League club's manager had a last-minute change of heart.
That has now left boss Neal Ardley needing to change targets and he is also now on the lookout for a new central defender after Sam Graham returned to the Blades.
He played his last game for the club in the 2-1 victory at Stockport at the weekend where the centre-back produced an excellent performance alongside Alex Lacey.
That proved to be a rare start for the defender and it is his lack of minutes on the pitch which have prompted the Blades to recall him.
"We were trying to get him back to his best but the game-time was a little bit limited and Sheffield United made the call to take him back.
"We thank him for all his efforts and wish him well for the rest of the season and beyond."
Notts now currently have two centre-backs available for the visit of Torquay United on Saturday with Ben Turner still suspended leaving Alex Lacey and Connell Rawlinson as the only central defenders able to play.

The whole idea of going out on loan is to get some game time, So why would you want to sign if you were not going to get a game.. If we need a left back, then why we did we bother signing Chicksen ?
Because not every signing works out. As we've seen at Meadow Lane through the years, as all clubs experience.
Not always. There is more to gaining experience as a young player than the 90 minutes on a pitch. The young players like Sam Graham would have been training with the academy team at Sheffield Utd. Even being a part of the match day squad would prove invaluable. Watching how players prepare. Watching how players train.
The irony is that we have a load of games left and Sam Graham could easily have played his part in those.
We have been very fortunate with some of the loan signings we have had over the years. Jack Grealish comfortably being the most iconic now. I bet he doesn’t regret his time being kicked all around Stevenage.
Calum MacGregor captains Celtic and is an established international. Another who had a successful spell with us.
At this level more so than others we rely on the loan market to hopefully bring in some quality with out spending through the nose.
In his interview (Ardley on Yeovil & Havant) he says the player was training with the squad and played in a behind closed door match, the players club called him back.
There could be a slightly different scenario, thus:
Sheffield U were unhappy with Graham's lack of game time and were considering taking him back, Notts got a hint of this and made a firm bid for him. Sheff U made the decision that their current form needed a better full-back than they were using at the mo and scuppered the deal pronto. Hence, we're short of one full-back.
