17,328 is the biggest home gate against Arsenal since the 1920s (Sat 08/Jan/1977 in the FA Cup)

    I can get to number 6 before I find a game I wasn't at.

I recall the forest game in 77 was so packed in the lane end behind the goal I feared being crushed, it was a hot day as well, made my way to the side of the stand.

Makes me almost tearful when I think of past times when we were so bluddy good. To which myself replies:

Get a grip mate... times change... things move on... get used to it.

It's still the case that every lifelong Notts fan, all the way back to 1888, will have seen the club in the top flight at some point in their lives unless they passed away early or they began supporting the club after 1992.
Those that began watching in the late 1920s would have had the longest wait. If they were around aged 10 in 1926, they would have been 65ish when we went up in 1981.
The eldest lifelong fans who've never seen Notts in the top flight would be around 30 now.
Not many Fword fans younger than late 20s will remember them in the top flight either.

I wish Jonnyt would predict we won't get promoted this season

Remember having a drink in the Norfolk Hotel watching hordes of there fans being escorted by the police down to the ground.

    That's guaranteed a play-off place at best
