Two long distance away games within a few days of each other has prompted Head Coach Steve Cooper to speak out about the unfair fixture schedule.
“It’s going to be really tough, a quick turnaround for Tuesday. Is it unfair and unkind? Yeah. Would they do it to some of the other clubs in our league? No chance. But we get that treatment, but we'll get on with it."
Cooper has a point. Getting home early hours of Sunday morning from Barnsley then travelling to Blackburn on Monday can’t be right surely?
Blackburn have had an inconsistent season so far but they’ve kept up with the chasing pack in 11th place, a few wins off a play-off spot.
They’ve scored 39 league goals so far this season, the most in the Championship, thanks to leading scorer Adam Armstrong bagging 16 of them. Last Saturday they drew at home to Stoke 1-1, and will face the Swans refreshed with the advantage of another home match.
