    NL Clubs meeting this afternoon

    According to Ollie Bayliss:

National League clubs have been asked their views on these options:

    1. Clubs take on long term low-interest loans with initial payment holidays
    2. The League takes on the loan & gives clubs grants, with future League central payments to clubs then reduced
    3. Suspend the season

Clubs have been told to email their views tonight.

The National League Board plan to meet on Friday to discuss the way forward.

The League’s least favoured option is to suspend the season.

The League expects all clubs to fulfil Saturday’s and the following midweek’s fixtures.

So the League expects all clubs to play Saturday and midweek but might suspend the season on Friday! Wow.
Apparently only Notts and Stockport can continue without any help.

    Oldstripy beat me to it.

What a joke, there were 8 fixtures scheduled Tuesday only 2 were played.

    Dag & Red vs Stockport 0 - 2

    Eastleigh vs Kings Lynn 0 - 1

The League expects all clubs to fulfill their fixtures apart from Yeovil, who look for any ode excuse not to play.

Yeovil are unable to play against any club with a vowel in their name.

At least it gives a range of options as to why we won't play Torquay on Saturday:

The Notts kitman tests positive so the game is called off
The Torquay kitman tests positive so the game is called off
Someone who lives near the ground tests positive so the game is called off
Storm Christoph tracks south and leaves the pitch waterlogged
The National League cancel the season
JonnyT predicts the game will definitely go ahead

Probably easiest if they just null and void the season and give the £11m to Boring Wood. Saves having to disguise it.

I think most will vote to cancel but it maybe swayed the other way as conceivably 20 odd clubs can still make the play offs and they may not get that opportunity again as this seasons league is crazy

Stop the season, promote Nots and Stockport.

    Sorted
