Tactics continually make it a difficult watch. Fair first half yet started to drop off, hoof the ball hopefully forward in the second and very lucky to gain three points. We are so much better when we play the ball on the ground but this at times does not seem to be the managers plan especially after we go up in games. Thought East had his best performance in the first half by playing more central.

With only a few matches on in Scotland the Doonhamers game got a wee bit more publicity on the TV and radio than usual and the general opinion was that on their second half performance the 'Ton were unlucky to not get a draw at least but 3 points is 3 points at the end of the day.

Great to get the three points without playing particularly well. Easy to say but I would like to see us keep the tempo of the game up I don't think it suits us slowing the game down. There was a much better reaction to Morton scoring than last week but we really dodged a bullet with Nesbitt's miss.
I think yesterday showed that the standard of the league is very similar and our early season woes were largely down to a lack of effort by ourselves.
Morton's goal was really soft Maxwell and Breen let in Nesbitt too easily but Breen was steady other wise. We did look tired in the second half and I would not have taken Fitzpatrick of as again Pybus and Shields looked as though they could have done with a rest but there is obvious reasons for leaving on Shields but I hope he is not going to be overplayed like a succession of managers have done with Dobbie.
Positives were Fitzpatrick again looking a threat with an exceptional finish and McCabe had a really strong first half although he missed McKee beside him. East putting in a power of work without doing anything spectacular. We keep the run going with an eleven of an average age of less than 24 a while since we have had such a young side. Refreshing.

With Shields growing interest from other clubs, Queens are looking to extend his deal until June 2022.

https://youtu.be/qxBJCtgrFgo Having watched the highlights there , I thought that should have been a straight Morton red for the foot off the ground challenge on the edge of the box. A shocker .

    Noticed that one too JRS.
Not sure if the referee had a clear line of sight right enough, although his assistant should've seen it clearly.
