You do find that there are a very vocal few who seem absolutely ingrained and extreme in their views on the manager. That makes them post utterly ridiculous things, which they are unable to see are unreasonable.

They are both pro and anti Ardley, and are like the sharks and the jets, hunting in packs for the latest bandwagon thread to jump on.

NCM is at least a small way I can get a bit of my Notts fix. For that I’m grateful. You can always skip any posts you aren’t interested in.

I struggle with this pro and anti Ardley thing.

I would rather be pro Notts; at the moment Ardley is the manager so I will try to get behind him. The problem is that this will mean that sometimes I will defend him even though I don't agree with his decision. However, when it is something major I will speak out against him. I certainly would not classify myself as a bandwagon jumper.

If that makes me pro Ardley then so be it.

That seems to explain why you struggle! Some like Ardley, some don't, but I think that all of us are pro-Notts.

It is possible to be pro-Notts but not an Ardley fan.

    Exactly!

When I said 'I would rather be pro-Notts' I meant that is how I would rather be identified, rather than pro-Ardley, Laddo's disciple (or worse).

Interestingly, my tablet predictive spelling changed 'Laddo' to 'Pedro'. Spooky or what!

There's loads who are Pro Notts and Anti Ardley.

It's really easy to be anti-manager because we've had so many that have been unsuccessful at Meadow Lane.

The period it takes for fans to turn on the manager gets shorter and shorter and in a way you can't blame them after the lack of success we've had in the past two decades.

I'm Pro-Stability , and Anti-Chopping and Changing every single season. No prizes for guessing why #historybooks

Always Pro Notts, I blame my old man.

A very interesting thread which has surprised me a bit, but three posts sum up the reality for me:

It's a football messageboard FFS. It doesn't need a knight in shining armour to come in riding their white charger and make it a better place. The direction the board takes will be decided by the posters who post on it, simple as that. It will never be to everyone's taste, but if it isn't to your taste then either find a board that suits your expectations or sign out.

My vote goes to laddo by the way, on the basis that I can annoy on a wide range of topics, while he is limited to one.

Magpie Mania is usually never far away from Laddo's f**k**y, and often pipes up to support his nonsense.

TSAHNO has been a bit condescending and aggressive...but then is sometimes quite reasonable in his posts.

A lot of time for Elite though...he is usually spot on.
as someone who has a stepson with special needs I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that comment

Surely if you can annoy on a variety of topics, then you are a superior annoyerer to someone who can merely be annoying on a single topic? Thus making you the winner and annoyer-in-chief, or Mad Board Annoyer in Chief or M.A.D.B.A.I.C iffon you like?

Probably neither, as I think the context was explained in post #14. The reason I'm butting in here is that I once said something similar on another Notts board. As I recall, someone had made a comment that was blatantly stupid, and I said "anyone who agrees with that should be sectioned". It was just a throwaway comment on my part at the time, but it upset someone who was dealing with mental health issues. I accepted that my choice of words was poor and tried to learn from it, but I really didn't mean to offend anyone.

Of course it does, fits the profile perfectly#notobsessed

That knight in shining armour has ridden well off into the sunset.

What never fails to surprise me is how wound up some get on here. They have an online meltdown, complete car crash TV which can be entertaining and amusing but completely needless. It's just words from a person you don't know.

Water off a ducks back to most but not all.... Thankfully

Most tiresome, tempted to say Durhampie or KC for their seemingly endless negative only viewpoints. However although I much prefer him it's gotta be Davy Facts. The same one thing said 100+ different ways. Impressive but tiresome.
