I had to go for a chest X-ray to Kidderminster Hospital yesterday.

Arrived to find a packed car park so the thoughts of going inside filled me with dread.

How refreshing once inside.

Beautifully organised for starters, well signposted and spaced out.

Arriving at the X-ray reception was an eye opener as well.

Gone are the stupid days of 50 people being given the same appointment time, no more than 4-6 people waiting to go in to see the 3 people who were doing the imaging.

Maybe out of the necessity of Covid the hospitals have had to learn how to be more efficient?

I cannot remember the last time I’ve arrived for an appointment, gone in on the button, been dealt with and then being out of the place 10 minutes after my appointment time.

It proves that it can be done.

The fact the car park was beyond overflowing yet people were in and out so quickly with almost nobody in waiting areas is the template for the future.

Very impressive.
