Bruce has just set fire to his own

    tits:

Steve Bruce was asked today if any boss could be successful under Ashley… “What do you gauge as success? I gauge success last year as matching Rafa’s tally of points. He was a world-class manager. Where did he finish (10th & 13th)? Is that success? We matched the mighty Rafa.”

    The "mighty Rafa"???

And he expects to gain what exactly by saying this?

He’s called Graeme Jones. Apparently his cv isn’t great. The Mail reported that it’s a vote of confidence by ashley in Bruce as he strengthens the coaching team but others are saying Jones will be the temporary head coach once cabbage is given the boot.

Going back to the ‘mighty Rafa’ comment. It shows the criticism has really got to Bruce and it’s his own fault as he’s always mentioned him in the past when it’s suited him even stooping as low as to blame Rafa for the failings of his own team 12 months into the job.

For me comparing Rafa to Bruce is like comparing Guardiola to Mark Hughes. They are in different leagues in almost any characteristic or statistic you care to look at.

    2017/18 - 10 Newcastle United 38 12 8 18 39 47 −8 44
    2018/19 - 13 Newcastle United 38 12 9 17 42 48 −6 45
    2019/20 - 13 Newcastle United 38 11 11 16 38 58 −20 44

Fûcking tool, less points than the immediate previous ‘mighty Rafa’’ year and 12 worse GD & 3 lower positions than ‘matched the mighty Rafa’ points year. What a massive inferiority complex he must have and with good reason.

    I actually reckon so.

Shows how much the critisim has got to him, also shows how much he hates that Rafa is still more popular than him. . . despite you know being a fan etc. ****ing etc.
