    V Newcastle

Im sure Smith will have the boys fired up for this one after the bitter defeat in midweek, the offside rule 4 days on is still divided! Newcastle not playing that well at the minute and Bruce under fire, 3 pts expected but these days you just never know.

    Team news

    Targett fit
    McGinn out

    Defence picks itself
    Midfield Jack, Ross and Dougie
    Upfront
    Traore, Watkins, ElGhazi

Deano may even blood young Ramsey?
No much else he can do, we have not got a big squad and just let Connor go who, may have got the nod.
Going to nip over to the Toon forum, see what these guys are saying.

I'd like to see Cash move into midfield and have Elmo start. Both can cross brilliantly and that is likely wear the goals will come from with a negative Brucie Newcastle.

Possibility that Saint Maxim is back for the Barcodes and he is a quality player.

4-0 Villa I reckon.... Until VAR pisses on our chips and it's 1-0

Not as confident as most, beating us would be just the sort of thing that Bruce does.

Back 4 should be, as was. I really don’t like the idea of both Traore and AEG starting, it worries me.

For me, Ramsey in for SJM, Ramsey needs to be starting more games.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nakamba in for SJM and push Douglas up a bit. I agree about Cash/Elmo. Not convinced about Traore’s defensive duties.

Easy easy seasy.....note: if we win our two games in hand that would put us on 36pts from 19 games, thats the whole total of last season from 38 games 😳. Superb tonight without getting out the blocks.

Good win and a great goal by Traore, he seems to be getting better and better..

Loved Jacks reaction to being subbed 🤣 he was like a school boy 🤣 shows passion though eh..

Tough one against stubborn Burnley now but we’re full of confidence so another 3 points 😀
