It does seem that Bruce didn’t know much about Jones’ arrival and his appointment certainly wasn’t a suggestion by Bruce.
If so, what kind of head coach would have a coach forced on him like thst? If Bruce had any morals he’d walk - it’s a huge vote of no confidence and lack of respect , undermining his position, and shows exactly how SDFC is run.

steve bruce is just the face for all the anger that would be aimed at ashley,

this Jones bloke will be picking the team and tactics, just read his interview from yesterday, he is not here to coach.

ashley is testing steves resolve by brining people in over his head.

a normal person would walk, he will too eventually, i can see another court case for constructive dismissal

In summary: the only thing that Bruce (and Ashley) are thinking about now is Bruce’s pay off).

When you remember that Ashley paid 4 million to Sheff Wed to get Bruce it goes down as another huge Ashley financial blunder. He has cost the club tens of millions with stupid decisions and it would’ve been easy to have spent less, made more and have all the fans on his side if he had been smarter.

Add Lowjinton to that and you have enough to buy a class attacking midfielder.

What was the short version of his interview?

Was reading a Jones interview and he was on about tactics, training methods, bringing new ideas, what he’d learned from working under others etc. - the kind of interview you’d get from a newly in-post manager. It’s hard to believe that the incumbent manager would sanction that type of interview to be honest as it sort of highlights his own shortcomings. The previous posts make a lot of sense about him being imposed on Bruce. Those Barnes and Bishop geezers were supposedly at the match on Tuesday observing the current mess.

    £4M for Bruce - that’s absolutely insane.

Perhaps he’s been hired to force Bruce to quit because Ashley doesn't want to payout remainder of contract?

Bruce should just quit and claim constructive dismissal and have a shred of dignity.

I’ve said this on here before - I’m convinced Bruce was brought in by Ashley to put the boot in on us yet again but he thought that even someone as inept as Bruce couldn’t actually get that squad relegated. And yet here we are in a situation where that’s very likely but Ashley won’t just cut his losses and get rid of the buffoon so he’s faffing around trying to come up with a solution that’s unlikely to make any difference.
