    this bloke Jones

there's definitely more to this than we know, when Bruce was asked about him after the game yesterday, he instantly bit back at the bloke interviewing him. I thought it was a bit bizarre, not what Bruce said, just the speed and the manner he replied gave me the impression, this is not a Bruce move. It touched a nerve ( watch the interview again )

Then reading a report today quoting Jones as saying "its his ream job"
that's some low expectations if being a coach at NUFC is his dream job, this is a bloke who has been a manager, and assistant to one of the best National teams on the planet.

Bruce is rattled, the entire calm persona that he tries to put across where he always says he expects the criticism has gone, he has banned the written press because of their coverage of the "Bruce out" flags
Leeds will hammer us on Tuesday and that will surely be the end for him, where else have you ever heard of a PL manager having three assistant managers? Jones is the stop gap to get this bunch out of the downward spiral, a typical Ashley move, another underserving manager who will cost peanuts. This is Ashley getting his pawns into place.

The players have given up on Bruce, that was clear to see yesterday, even after the game, they looked like they had lost the world cup final, they are mentally exhausted of playing the way Bruce wants them to, fully knowing it wont work and they cant win by following the manager.

There was also a report today saying Eddie Howe would be open to the job if approached and he was Ashley's top target, so something doesn't add up with this Jones bloke

I'd love to see a young experienced manager like Eddie Howe here. The problem is that if it happened he would come with all of the promises under the sun and quickly become disillusioned and forced out.

A quiet session with K.K. and Big Al would be recommended before he threw his hat into the ring.

Clearly a mis-spelling there. It should say ‘rim job’ (on Ashley)
    😀
Seriously, I agree. Bruce was ready for the question and blocked it before he’d finished asking it.

BBC reports that Rafa (according to that journalist mate of his) will have a rest now and won’t be managing us or Celtic. But said he has ‘a bit of unfinished business’ at Newcastle.
    Gotta love Rafa.

yeah Rafa is not daft, if he was going to go to Celtic, it would signal it was his last job, a nice easy earner. Starts each season with a 50% chance of winning the league without even doing anything.
The Celtic and Ranger players can pick their own starting teams and still finish top 2.

Rafa will just sit patiently in the background until a good opportunity comes up

Agreed - he is rattled and he does look a dead man walking.

The bolded bit - it does make sense to a degree, Jone was Howe's number 2 for a while.

morning Jammy, i didn't know that about him working with Howe in the past, ah this might make sense then, something deeper is going on in the background, getting the assistant manager in for a week or 2 to assess the squad and feedback to Howe if its workable (which we all know it is)

my team for Leeds would be a flat 4-4-1-1 with wingers running at the defence, getting to the line and crossing the ball

    darlow
    maquillo, schar, lasceles, lewis
    frazer, hayden, matty, miggy
    saint
    wilson

Which makes Bruce look even more ridiculous. If this is true - and you’re definitely right about Bruce snapping at the reporter - he’s being publicly undermined by the owner. It reminds me of that week during the last relegation when they were talking to Rafa and that other numbskull McClaren was still taking training instead of actually having a moral compass and walking away. Two equally slimy, greedy, undignified båsrards who contribute to the shît reputation of the top flight game.

Just been on News Now site and there’s a headline in the Sunderland Echo about Ben Dawson having a new role, so seems like some kind of restructuring is afoot. Can’t get anymore details without subscribing but let’s hope this is a gateway to getting rid of this utter cretin rather than moving the deckchairs on The Titanic as they say.

Don’t know anything about him, apparently he’s a Geordie hence the dream job stuff. He’s here to undermine Bruce imo Ashley wants Bruce to resign, then this lad will takeover I presume. Bruce won’t resign tho’ so it’s looking like another sh1t show.

What’s the lads record like, I know work as a coach under Martinez big fu(king swing on that like. He was Luton town manger for awhile? What happened there?

Interesting, hasn't Dawson already been moved around into several roles?
