Motherwell face a huge test in Dingwall on Wednesday. Can Graham Alexander get his first win and hop Ross County? - External Link

    Let’s hope so.
Every club looks for the new manager bounce, and perhaps more often or not they get it.
Sadly, anything but a win will be further damaging to the team’s confidence and place a question mark on GA’s ability to turn things around before relegation becomes inevitable.
With pretty much the same group of players on the pitch, opposing teams are already familiar with and successful at taking the points from us. They know more about our team on game day than GA does and no bounce at all gives nothing but a sad outlook for this season.
I hope I’m wrong, but fear GA is out of his depth here.
    We need that win now.

We last one a league game on the 31st of October and last kept a clean sheet in the league on 23rd December all of which points to a difficult task in Dingwall to get three points. It’s definitely the classic six pointer and a game we just cannot lose. Alexander has to find the players within the squad that wants to play for the club and drop the players who have hidden agendas with regards to where they will be playing next season. Many of the squad will not be affected if we are relegated as they will have moved on, but their are staff behind the scenes at Fir Park who will inevitably lose their jobs if we go down. Before Wednesday’s game if I was manager I would make sure the squad understands the effect they can have on someone’s life, living standards if we are relegated. I would guilt trip them in the hope they can produce the goods for everyone at the club .
