Some of the rioters from the Eindhoven looting and plundering found themselves in court yesterday. One got 8 months jail, 2 of which are suspended. Another got 6 months, 2 suspended. Both ordered to pay €18,000 damages/compensation. If they can't pay then cars and other goods will be sold to cover some of it. The rest will be taken out of their income if/when they're back at work.

The curfew expres midweek but everybody is expecting that it will be extended to the end of the month over the weekend. I fully expect some protests/demonstrations over it but the looting and plundering will probably not recur. Maybe some stone throwing at cops but that will be it.

One worrying occurrence, those inclined to rioting have discovered the addresses of some of the policemen there to stop the riots and have published them online with text inducing eejits to stone the houses, attack the officers or even to kill them. Not good. I hope the police IT specialists can track the posters down.

Outstanding. Break the law, destroy property, cost the tax payer. Then get ready to pay it back.
    Get it here asap.

Just heard, the curfew regulations are being extended to March 2nd. No surprise there. I'd also not be dumbfounded at a further extension to the end of March either as the "experts" are forecasting a mid-March 3rd wave........ all due to the "British variant" which has accounted for 3% of cases one week to 10% the week after, 33% the week after that and 66% last week. We've vaccinated (1st jab) about 400K so far. Also, around 18K health care professionals have had their 2nd dose.
