Think we have been unlucky to some degree with CB injuries - Koch couldn’t be helped and Llorente seemed to come back with a knock from internationals.

Suspect that with the Ben White will he won’t he they wanted cover for Koch.

The Berardi and Fordhaw injuries have not helped. If Fordham was fit then think we would have had less issues as Struijk would just play CB and Forshaw could sit in the hole when KP out.

Biggest gap in recruitment was in CM as that has been a big problem and gap and a goal scorer.

Imagine how many goals Chapman would bag for this side.
Well, he's 60+, so probably not that many!

Beckford would be on 30 for the season already

Even at that age suspect he could teach Bambi a thing or two about movement, positioning and how to head the ball

Not really harsh HO. Disregarding all the supermarket sweep incomings, and focus just on the more recent acquisitions, we have still spent millions on transfer fees and wages for players who have either never figured in the 1st team or if they have, have been more or less unmitigated disasters, no names, no pack drill, but you know who they are.

Klix' point about accountability is spot on, if any of us were to make similar cock-ups in a job we are paid handsomely to do well, we would be shown the door. Managers are dismissed for much less (and after all they don't go out on the pitch and play (normally!) so aren't directly responsible for the outcomes of their decisions, unlike he whos name must not be spoken!), so where does accountability stop on the way up the greasy pole?

Anyway, we won't see changes at that level, so I suppose we just hunker down and hope you-know-who doesn't get too firm a grip on the clubs purse strings.

It seems some payers struggle with the intensity of the training and fitness work we do - hope he doesn’t fall into that category.

    He must be gutted.
He looked well upset walking off

I have plants in my garden that could teach Barndoor a thing or two about heading a ball. I can only assume that he read an article in The Lancet about the potential dangers of concussion and has decided to opt out of that part of the game.

I was slightly worried when he joined and saw he hasn't played more than 30 games in a season more than once.

But then we turned down Cuisance for 'medical' reasons (though I'm still convinced there was something about his attitude they decided they didn't like at last minute and used medical as an excuse.......or they knew they could get Raphinha instead)

Hope he sorts it out, can't have a perenially injured centre back in and out of the team.
