Twitter is for jerks Stovic. Promotion hopes? You won't find a single poster on here with those kind of hopes. Look at the comments on your win at Pride Park, we were poor and could do nothing against your very effective full court press and harrying tactics. Look at the top 6. We've beaten most of them this season. We've also struggled against the less "cultured" footballing sides.

Last night, we were better than we had been in the match at PP but still struggled with your more direct "get the ball up and over the back 4 and turn them" tactics. It's not pretty to watch but it's most certainly effective against us. For 75 minutes the sides took it in turn to look the more dangerous. I'd just resigned to the fact that it looked like being a 0-0 draw when we switched off at a free kick, held too high a line, Smith got up, nodded it on and Ihiekwe ghosted in outside a defender to put it away. 2nd goal Shinnie gave up following your man and pointed at Wisdom to take over, Crooks took it wide and Smith tucked it away at the near post. Shinnie was knackered and should have been subbed. 3rd goal, Byrne slipped, Giles took the ball, ran unopposed into the area who put it past Marshall who was a yard too far to his right. Well taken chances to which we contributed. We don't play well against your type of football, it's that simple. We'll have similar issues at Barnsley on Saturday.

Judge Rams fans on the comments you'll read on here, not on the outpourings of the great unwashed on Twitter.

Congratulations on your first double over us since 1966.

I take you’re not happy then . We accept what we are but it must be a lot harder having to accept what you are , a mediocre championship team .

Small club no fans Rotherham. Don't deserve to break bread with the mighty Derby.

I beg to differ regarding the game, I think we were ok just not very effective against a hard pressing opposition for 70 mins and then lost our way, not sure gutless describes it. I think if Gregory had connected properly with his first touch we’d have scored and won. Defo don’t think Rooney’s confidence in Bird to be the new Beilik is well founded though, he looked very ordinary last night

Not interested in Rotherham but good luck to them, however we were ordinary and poor!

Then why come on here telling us to ‘get on Twitter’?

Don’t think you are a ‘mediocre Championship side’ either...you’re a poor Championship side but, tbf, on the two occasions we’ve met this season, we’ve been poorer.

As MA says...congratulations on your double...pity it’s not going to coincide with another England World Cup win like last time.

last 7 seasons 3rd, 8th, 5th, 9th, 6th, 6th, 10th. 4 seasons in the playoffs, 2 of them reaching the final. The 3 others were 1 point shy of the playoffs in 14/15, 9th in 16/16 well off the playoffs and 10th in 19/20 and 6 points off having still been in the playoff race just 5 games from the end of the season. That's not mediocre.

This season we have been less than average for much of the season. Up until last night we had the best defensive record in the League since Rooney took over. I don't think we'll go down this season but we aren't going to finish top half either. Of the current top 6 we've drawn with 1, lost to 2 and beaten 3 this season. Our record against the other bottom 7 sides is poor. Lost 3 including 2 to you, drawn 3 and won just the 1. Still have the return games to play against the other 5 struggling sides. Win those and we will finish in midtable mediocrity. Lose em all and we're in a dogfight. Plain, simple facts. We haven't been at the races for much of the season and we are where we currently deserve to be. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

One thing is certain, we struggle against teams using the same tactics as Rotherham. We have to accept that and hope we can carry on doing well against the teams that play more "cultured" stuff and start to do better against the more direct sides who also employ pressing and harrying tactics very well.
