2 of the Indian variants are similar to other identified variants, but the third one has a different code letter attributed to whatever they are on about and this is being tested to ensure the vaccine protects against it. However, a bonus with the available vaccine so far is they seems to be covering most variants identified, and i have no doubts it will be same again.

Irks me that it's always big news when a new variant is found but whenever said variant is proven to be non vaccine resistant you hardly hear a peep.

Mair tae be pitied than laughed at!

However, there has been quite a few information glitches of late and im not so sure the figures are showing a true picture just now, ie; low daily new infections last Wednesday skews the figures up for 2-3 days after. and if a weekend and glitch catch up are in those figures, they need time to settle down again.

BTW, NHS dashboard has 58.3 cases/100k which is on the rise, but with the above caveat!

Nothing has been finalized yet, and its not only Glasgow that should be getting held back as all the usual suspects are lining up to cross the 50/100k threshold. Travel is permitted right now, so fingers crossed the right decisions are to be made to prevent these variants from spreading outside the areas of prevalence!

3-4 weeks since the the schools went back full time, and 2 weeks since we opened up more, i would be careful who you hug next week!

No plans for any hugging but think there could be a lot of hugging going on in glasgow after rancid match on saturday. So have to hope that like after the last celibrations and smashing up of george square they don't pass too much.
