We have had our differences, but i would never call you a Tory because of that!

Regarding the football, can agreements in relation to testing that were apparently being considered before their shut down not be revisited? With teachers getting the same testing, can some kits be donated by SG?

could be really difficult logistically with the players having jobs mate, getting them to test centres or whatever at certain times to meet the League/GOV criteria could be an issue if people are on shift or working away

We knew in October there was issues with the lower leagues starting up again, not as easy as full time clubs eh

Its LFT kits that are issued to school staff and all done at home, not nice to witness! Government could help by delivering those kits to clubs quite easily and have them passed out at first training session. All tests are then registered, but dont know what happens with a positive result, but i believe quarantine and a PCR test is submitted.

Talk brought in here last week of a more accurate and less intrusive 5 minute test available soon. A game changer even with vaccine roll out doing so well.

Nearly didnt bring this today due to tech issues in the tableau. I have to say that im a bit disheartened with the slow progress just now, and i wish the cohort reporting would return.

    Over 80s, 96.9% (96.8)
    75-79, 98.7 (98.6)
    70-74, 99.2% (99.1)
    65-69, 95% (94.8)
    60-64, 36% (34.4)
    55-59, 30.2% (28.9)
    50-54, 24.7% (23.4)
    40-49, 18.9% (18.1)
    30-39, 13.2% (12.8)
    16-29, 8.4%, (8.2)

Daily new infections spend another day in the 500s and the 7 day average joins them, and i hope that 400s can be seen as the week progresses.

I put this out at the weekend kinda in a way to answer an earlier question, and a here is a bit of an update.

Is there a case to say that the vaccination percentages in some areas could see restrictions lifted early? Below is cases/100k to 28th - number vaccinated - percentage vaccinated.

    Western isles, 33.7 – 11,348 – 50.5 (48.7 – 10,912 – 48.6)
    Shetland Isles, 0 – 9,077 – 48.5 (0 – 8,588 – 45.9)
    D & G, 29.6 – 59,184 – 47.1 (51.1 - 57,163 - 45.5)
    South Ayrshire, 47.1 – 43,384 – 45.7 (69.3 -43,109 - 45.4)
    Angus, 44.8 – 42,691 – 44 (40,059 - 41.3)
    Argyle and Bute, 18.6 – 30,381 – 41.6 (21 - 29,313 - 40.2)

    Just for interest,
    Falkirk, 161 – 44,026 – 33.2 (219.4 - 42,116 - 31.7)
    Edinburgh, 63 – 125,591 – 28.2 (93.9 - 117,076 - 26.3)
    Second lowest, Glasgow, 114 – 153,673 – 28.9 (144.4 - 140,381 - 26.4)
    Dundee just cause, 69 – 49,100 – 39.2 (58.9 - 46,167 - 36.9)

Something i mentioned in the last thread was about surge vaccinating the isles to allow them to get their economies restarted again. I am more convinced this is acceptable with their populations currently half done at low numbers. Done right, it gets us past some areas that could be difficult logistically and long term we can maximize efforts on the mainland.
