The issue with Glass, Cathro and Maloney was they were young managers starting off their careers trying to play expansive football playing from the back.
Unfortunately no one told them that you need technically competent players that can do that but ones that are also strong enough to handle the physicality of playing the likes of Motherwell or Livingston
Hearts had the physical players they were just not very good. Hibs were neither. Glass had a mixture but ultimately not good enough
The league doesn’t allow progression hence why teams with athletically strong players will always do alright and technical young players won’t develop.
Goodwin has managed to get a better standard of player due to money spent, however he is showing he is more limited as a manager than he was as a player

But while I believe Glass started well, even if he had this group of players he wasn’t the answer , and neither is this charlatan

Stephen Glass is actually 5 years older than Jim Goodwin,he has also been in the management game a lot longer as he started out as assistant manager for Shamrock Rovers in 2012.

This whole argument about Goodwin spending more money than Glass is a bit far fetched as well.Glass spent money on Ramirez,Bates and Jet(yes he actually spent money to bring Jet here).Plus it wouldn’t have been cheap to convince Scott Brown to sign for us either.

I would imagine whenever Jim Goodwin gets sacked he will eventually end up at the likes of Dundee or Partick Thistle which is a hell of a lot better than Memphis 901 FC.

It’s irrelevant who is a better manager between Glass or Goodwin anyway,at the end of the day we have been far worse off since we got rid of McInnes.

It’s not really looking too good for the guys who spent 7 years insisting we would be better without him

How is Considine getting on at St.Johnstone? He was another one that needed shipped out and replaced by a far more adequate central defender. It’s the fault of the manager that he has struggled to get a decent central defender in but Considine was finished anyway and deservedly shown the door (the cheek of him being greedy just made it easier to ditch him).
