Remember having to queue up to get in the Gallowgate, a first for that season.
Keegan took charge for the first time as we beat Bristol City 3-0.
The atmosphere was utterly joyous and everyone knew that something special was going to happen (and i don't just mean the win that day ). Ffs, the video was in HMV by the beginning of the next week and I bought it!!
Happy days...
Remember having to queue up to get in the Gallowgate, a first for that season.
Felt sad for Ossie but something had to change and the rest is history
Finished that season, then got to around Xmas of promotion season then bought a half season ticket for rest of season. Then had a season in the Leazes and moved back to the gallowgate after the rebuild. Was there until the fat cùnt came. Remember the seat, row everything. Great times.
Aye, man, great, great times. We got kicked out of there when they created the 1892 club-or whatever it was-then spent a few years in different parts of Level 7 before moving to the Strawberry Corner.
Broke my heart to give that ticket up...but, I had to do it and I won't be back until fatso is gone.
It was unbelievable and everyone was convinced we were going rapidly to the top and you couldn't see an end to it.
Doesn't seem like almost 30 years ago. 9th December that year was our centenary.
HAPPY DAYS

Where you a bond holder Zip. I remember even bond holders got shifted. Me and wor kid got one, thats how we ended up moving to the Gallowgate. I had just started working full time then and he was still at school. So guess who paid his. Would do it all again though. The memories of games we all witnessed. Imagine of we won something.
No, Geordie, none of us were. Wasn't it £500 or something and you got your name on the back of the seat (I don't mean that was the only benefit ). What were the other benefits-guaranteeing your seat for ten years? And did you get your name on a brick or was that totally separate?
