For last few weeks we have done our talking on the pitch this week we spout the usual pony and trap of how important the game against Accies is to the players and the fans and we leave all that in the dressing room. Accies have 5 in midfield we have 3 never going to dominate the game. Player then ordered off and now it is total damage limitation time. 25 minutes in and this is going to be worse than Lasley’s game in charge against Accies.

We need this season over with. Get to the summer, hopefully still in the top flight then get the vast majority of these money grabbing chancers out the door - starting with O’Donnell - and then let Alexander rebuild the team.

This current batch are easily one of the most dislikable Motherwell squads we’ve seen in years. Far too many of them just don’t give a toss and are only going through the motions.

It’s very predictable stuff. Any team needing a turnaround or points, especially a bottom place team, or a team that hasn’t scored or won in a while can always count on getting what they want against Motherwell.

A score line like this by the bottom side should be bringing calls for resignations. Sadly, not happening here.

Two of our last three wins were against struggling teams that hadn't won in a while, one of whom had gone so far as to hire a new manager because they hadn't won in a while.

Accies were always going to get in our faces and make it a physical game as they always do, why we went with only three in midfield is beyond me, if you don’t have the ball and compete your chances of winning the game are very slim to none.

The problem we have is that our squad is garbage. Too many players simply either lack basic quality and/or just don’t give a sh1t and are only going through motions. Stephen O’Donnell, Chris Long and Declan Gallagher(even though he’s been out) are the biggest culprits for the latter IMO.

We need to clear out the deadwood and hope that GA is able to recruit shrewdly in the summer.

I don’t think we’ll be relegated or end up in the playoffs (I hope anyway) but it’s going to be uncomfortable between now and May and after that we’ll see what our new manager is made of when it comes to building a team.
