    Harrogate and Salford

According to the met office the lowest temperature in Harrogate between mid-day Monday and the end of the match on Tuesday will be 7 degrees centigrade.

In Salford between mid-day Friday and the end of the match on Saturday the lowest temperature will be 9% centigrade.

It seems to be that both these games will go ahead if the deciding factor is the temperature from the day prior to the match onwards.

On Tuesday 23rd February we are at home to Tranmere. According to the bbc weather service the lowest temperature in Carlisle between mid-day Monday and the end of the match on Tuesday will be 6 degrees centigrade.

On Saturday 27th February we are at home to Oldham. According to theweatheroutlook.com the lowest temperature in Carlisle between mid-day Monday and the end of the match on Tuesday will be 4 degrees centigrade.

So, from mid-day of the day before each of our next four matches to the end of the match the lowest temperature for any of the venues is 4 degrees centigrade. All four seem certain to be played.

    Correction :-

It does seem to be that in terms of weather our next four matches will be played as scheduled.

The thing with that was there was a deep `low` approaching the s.e of England, this will have been tracked for thousands of miles, its speed, direction on its approach.Through the night it changed course slightly while everyone would or most be in bed and would have seen the last forecast on that day.Early hours it changed course with no reason to suspect it would and bang seven oaks became one oak, thats nature and a weather persons nightmare.Again there was no reason to suspect it would deepen any further but it did in a very short space of time and the rests history

I never realised that climatology was such a big hobby in Cumbria until now

We folk from Cumberland and Westmorland have evolved, influenced by the climate. Some of us are now fish, some are now snowmen/women.

Cumbrian weather forecasting is very easy. If it’s not raining/freezing, it’s going to.
