    I wonder how many folk just googled 'Is Keith Chegwin dead?'. At least one anyway.

    Fun fact: Keith Chegwin opened the Oldmeldrum Sports in 1985. Following in the footsteps of other A-list celebrities such as Jimmy Cricket, Rod Hull & Emu, Roy Walker and Jamie Theakstone.

    Aye - rampant jakey, drink got him a few years back. Still a better striker option than Curtis Main though.

    He also came to Aboyne with Multi Coloured Swap Shop when I was in primary 1. Fine day oot on the village green that wis.

    Fun fact 2: Keith’s sister is none other than former 80’s Radio 1 and TOTP presenter Janice Long (who famously appeared on 3-2-1 wi Ted Rogers one time inna).

    Aye, from a dead ball situation, Cheggers goes 'pop' ... right at the death

    .... Oh ... and by the way .... apologies for mentionin' a 5hite 'sport' even less entertainin than our current performances, but .... I had the pleasure o' meeting Jimmy Cricket and havin a right fine blether ... 2008, Torrevieja, Spain. He was about to settle into his chalet ... next to ours. I was with our Pogues Trib 'The Brogues'. JC was doing the same venue the following night.

    What a fkn fine couthy chap he was! ... Ah ken little else aboot the guy, but meetin in person, total gent.
