    Hamilton - 24h on

It will take some time for Motherwell to stop reeling after the comprehensive thrashing at the hands of Hamilton. - External Link

If we stay up we'll look back at this sort of match as a blessing in disguise. It should leave GA in no doubt that while his good start was welcome, our decent points haul under him so far was gained by fine, fine margins and should not disguise just how poor we are. We have not yet managed to play a good 90 minutes under him, nowhere near it in fact.

While Wednesday at Kilmarnock showed that folk like Lamie, Mugabi etc can get away with it some of the time, Saturday proves that if we stay up there should be no sentiment and no second chances come contract renewal time. There's not a single player in this squad we're unreservedly happy about having, I would say, and the only thing which speaks in favour of renewing any of those whose deals will expire (Gallagher and Campbell, who are obviously off, excepted) is that we simply can't adequately recruit the 10-15 we'd like to over one summer.

And he can't think using that favoured word of many Managers these days ... 'project,' is good.

We ain't someone's project ... someone's project is a stepping stone to another job (or, another project). He's used it once, and in the words of Basil Fawlty 'got away with it' ! He should know the 5hite he's inherited by now, and has to prove his skill set by getting us out of the mire.
