Considering the history of Ipswich its not surprising a few fans are riled. It shows passion, caring, a spiritual pain. If you have ever attended a home defeat at Cambridge, you will be familiar with the silence, which gets worse as time goes on.

There are a few angry outbursts, but not many. At full time its like mourners at a funeral filing out. In the old days the ground would be almost empty. United fans are used to failure, and the dire "give us money" from the boardroom.

It hasnt always been like that. All fires go out in the end. All passion gets spent. Even the Universe will be reduced to a cinder, and that will go too.

United are top, woppee doooo.

To late for me, something has gone, when we hit non league. When you get older you realise what is worthless and what isnt. United are now just a result on the internet or in the paper, a trivial entertainment. So why am i posting this?

Nothing important, just letting the club, and the boards of directors since 1995 or whenever, that they have failed. United are a punto of a club, and will always be.

Unless there is a hope of success, there is no point. The train for all points west left a long time ago.

Keef of Wendy.
