Another excellent result tonight shows what a great squad AJ is putting together after an almost complete rebuild.
It makes it even more annoying that Dapo Mebude has saw fit to behave like such an idiot.
An amazing result at a very difficult venue.
The criticism about the team's fitness and the manager's tactics was entirely justified at the time, and I too had a real go. However, AJ has taken on board that criticism and decided to do something about it.
He has concentrated on the fitness of the existing squad and brought in exciting and very capable players in the transfer window, - who have the added bonus of lightning pace.
The squad has echoes of the one which ran away with the 2nd division when he was here the first time, - and if he and the team sticks with their present tactics of hard graft and every player giving 100% for the full 90 minutes, - then we will get a top four finish and that run in the Scottish Cup might not be a pipe dream.
A huge well done to the manager, the entire squad and the BOD.
The effort we saw on Friday night against Hearts deserved the full 3 points, - but as we know football doesn't always play fair. However - across the course of a season the results will fall in our favour if the work is done, - and let's all hope that they continue to stick in.
The biggest shame is the fact that the supporters can't get along to watch some of these amazing players, - who for a host of reasons are unlikely to be here next season.
What a fantastic result!
Obviously a long way to go and the league is tight but just goes to show that sticking with a manager through the bad times can pay off.
AJ is a decent manager IMO, he's just up against it with having a restricted budget and having to dig out talent. He'll probably need to rebuild again at the end of this season which makes any managers job extra difficult.
I think we have a cracking squad of players. Just gutting we'll probably not get to see them play in the flesh.
Take my hat off to AJ and happily eat humble pie. Last year couldn't buy a win but currently in 2021 the teams form is exceptional with the players clearly giving their all and you can ask no more than that. Well done to AJ for turning things around.
I'd hope that perhaps most of the Queens players would like to stay on for another season if they keep performing this way.
