Many will best remember the 5-3 win there under Barnwell in 1987, there was also a televised match at that ground in 1976 in which Dave McVay netted a late spectacular goal. Most importantly of all, Bootham Crescent was the scene of Jimmy Sirrel's last match in charge, a 1-1 draw (a win that day would have got us into the play offs).
