    Norwich City Post Match Thoughts

Is it a true reflection of being an RUFC fan when you go into a game expecting nothing, you get nothing and yet you are still bitterly disappointed? It's now a mini 3 game losing streak, admittedly all against promotion challenging teams but all of a sudden the results go against us and we're back in the bottom 3. How much are we missing Jamie Lindsay and are the number of games and injuries finally catching up on us? Onward to Tuesday night and time to break the losing run against Forest.

    Thoughts on today's game/performance?

The plus is that the goal difference didn't suffer as much as looked likely in the first half.

This from a Narwich forum -

These referees just let opposition walk all over us at Carrow road.

im guessing they are “giving them a chance”

just do your job referee. You weren’t good enough to be a footballer so now you’re a referee. Accept your lot."

If Smudge and Crooks aren't both 9 out of 10s and linking up telepathically we have no idea how to score a goal do we?

Games are catching up with us, really leggy all over the pitch.

Sean Mc clearly isn't really anywhere near fit enough because Wiles desperately needs a rest but he doesn't start ahead of him or even come on to freshen the engine room. A few games now where he plays 5 minutes if lucky, something going on there.

Results from today, yay oh yay, how wonderful a day this has been.

Expected us to lose Wed and today but so frustrating to lose by a single goal. Norwich are a very good team but just feel we didn’t have the belief to get a draw.

That’s what I have thought about the last two matches not quite enough belief to get any points.

I agree. We lack belief (so do our fans). I saw us at home against Norwich and Bournemouth and considering home games aren't too much different to away games this season I thought we could have got 2 points.

Today, most of their chances came from poor defending. Their goal came from poor defending. We had a few chances, Crooks had a great chance to level it. Disallowed goal would have been allowed if it was at the other end.

It frustrates me when I think we could have got something out of the last two games. It will be even more frustrating if we lose to Forest!!!

Never known such a biased lot as their supporters. We are thugs according to them.

They might have had most of the play but a perfectly good goal by us was disallowed.

Could the results have gone any worse today?

ps I said Bournemouth were rubbish

Goal disallowed and hitting the bar all what if’s. I’m sure we will get the breaks. Goal difference hasn’t suffered too much so bring on Forest.

Sounded like a great effort against another 'huge' club, who have been rewarded for failure. Sadly, we don't quite have the quality to turn these games round. The Forest game is massive, lose and I really do fear for us.

I would imagine both Of the ex prem clubs bmouth and Norwich fly to as many games as they can.
Some of our Lancashire based players won't get home tonight much before midnight and after two long away trips our players will be fatigued for quite a few days.

Clubs who receive £30m+ for getting relegated can easily afford the luxuries of flights and as well as being able to afford better players they also get another advantage with easier travel plans
