Pereira is a very talented player when he is on the ball but off the ball he is very poor because he can't tackle and doesn't believe that he has to track back. In the Championship he spent a lot more time with the ball and looked very good, however, he has found it difficult in the Premiership to get the ball time his game needs. To be honest, this season, he has developed into a luxury player which, in our difficult position, is maybe not what the team needs.

Totally agree Tipp! I can see now why Fat Sam dropped him! That said, I can't see why he's starting Phillips - he really is shocking!

Again, he was well off the pace and looks totally unfit. Probably been eating too many of Sam's pies. Surely doesn't deserve a place in starting line up at moment.

Thought Pereira was poor today with passes off pace and being too slow to release the ball. Phillips was not much better so Diagne had no service!

I would bench both Pereira and Phillips for the Everton match

I was disappointed with Pereira today. The game just passed him by and when he did have the ball he wasted possession or was just too slow to react. He’s a decent player on his day and probably the best we have ...... but doesn’t get involved enough or stamp his mark.....

Also thought Phillips was poor - not so much the effort as he definitely puts in a shift .... but just too slow .... this is our problem right now ..... we’ve organised the defence and the midfield ..... but there is no link up with attack and the ball just keeps coming back at us ....

Still three points is three points ...... just happy for a win for a change....

Well put Barrera - totally accurate!!! Personally I would drop both Pereira and Phillips for the Everton game! Okay for me is outstanding! Gallagher has a great engine and love him - needs to cut out a few of the niggly fouls!

Bartley - love him or hate him - for me the guy has been an absolute rock again and far superior to Ajayi who was not missed!

Agreed about Bartley, of course many defincies as a player, but, love the commitment, work rate, the shift put in etc.
