Unless we have several players returning from injury or suspension then our performance in the last two games suggests we will take nothing from this one. IMO we have to revert to a 4-4-2 formation in the hope that the defence and midfield can close the enormous gap on the pitch between themselves and the forwards. In the last two games both Accies and St. Johnstone got in our faces from the word go and pressed us back deep into our own half. Both of them dominated the midfield, with the result every time one of our defenders or midfielders tried to clear the ball upfield, it was easily picked up by the opposition midfield as our three forwards where so far up the field and couldn’t challenge for any of the balls cleared. Our players have to take responsibility for their performances in the last two games by letting their actions and performances in the up and coming games do their talking rather than the pony and trap they have been spouting in the media. Come on you “WELL” players time to stand up and wear the jersey as if it means something to you

Picking a team for Wednesday is a hilarious challenge. I would scrap the wingers, play Watt as a 10 in a diamond and drop TM - assuming SOD is the only returnee. Carroll also needs booted, he's worth a goal a game at the minute.

    Kelly

    Johnston, SOD, Lamie, McGinley

    Maguire

    Crawford, Cornelius

    Watt

    Cole, Long

But the reality is there is no good choice. The squad we have isn't good enough to begin with and when it's then missing some of the only competent players we have, we are just left with an eleven which will not be competitive against anyone at this level.
