    😆

    The challenge most politicians won’t recognise is that many facets of the way the world operates are so complicated that they don’t understand them and have neither the skills or ability to deal with them properly.

    If you mean Astra-Zeneca, it was always going to, but the same applies to all the vaccines that the UK government had selected as candidates for the vaccination programme. Macron and others clearly don't understand how urgent clinical trials are conducted, nor how the test cohorts are selected. He, Merkel and the trough-grovellers in Brussels have succeeded in killing many more across Europe who could have been protected by now if they hadn't been more interested in trying to "punish" the UK for leaving their rapidly disintegrating little club.

    is there a difference? Both take your money, empower themselves and always walk away rich with lifetime benefits. This generally entails a loss of freedoms and resources since they are taking but contributing nothing.

    The parties are the kabuki theater created to make sure that they will always prevail.

    that's basically a universal in all countries. The names change but the concept is the same. Some just do it with one party while others have more.

    PS- that was funny!

    Just watch your netflix, buy your chinese cr@p from amazon and get your news from facebook.
    Just another couple of instances where it would appear crowds and gatherings are coming back;

    Bestival (Dorset) is confirmed as on now (several days, end-July/begin-August)
    Lets Rock (Southampton - 10th July), other venues are also "on" now
    Parkrun - June 5th (Southampton), other venues again are planning to restart

    It will be unstoppable. No sport will be able to stand alone in denying fans the ability to attend stadia, and that includes football at all levels.

    Think AMerkel and Macron where simply trying to justify their piss poor foresight when it came to ordering the various vaccines last August, The people of Europe are rightly asking how we can be so far ahead of them - and the response is "don't worry comrades - the UK are using untested rubbish vaccines."...

    Vaccine ordering for the member states of the EU is governed by Brussels, not national governments. The UK could order independently as we were already in the "transition" state by the time COVID hit. Its the Commission that f00ked up (the lack of foresight you refer to), because as with all things, they try (and fail), to get 27 very different countries governments to agree to a single course of action. Macron and the rest have attempted to do as you suggest (rubbishing the AZ vaccine), and have succeeded only in making themselves look childish and foolish. Be interesting if a class-action was put together to sue the Commission for the harm caused by their incompetence.

    because they are selling tickets, or should i say desperately gathering cash, doesnt mean it will go ahead. At the momment they are feeding you the "positivity", things will return to normal soon, after that, they usually hit you with the next sucker punch. New lockdown anyone? deadly isle of man mutant coming soon!

    Regarding the UK vaccine, its irrelevant as to its quality, if the EU decides to pretend its cr@p, then, its cr@p.

    The UK as a full member of the EU could have also gone it's own way. Hungary & Slovakia are members and have chosen their own routes and are going with the Russian Sputnik vaccine. The ability for the the UK to go it's own way is nothing to do with non membership of the EU but the usual self serving crap about Brexit was used to suggest it was.

    The countries now ordering vaccines separately from the EU process are being castigated by the Commission for "destroying the unity" of the EU, and we would have been similarly criticised. The ordering of vaccines by the UK government last year (EARLY last year) was entirely as a result of having entered the transition period. No European country has entered into ANY procurement agreement with ANY vaccine producer until 2021, nearly 12 months after the UK placed orders with multiple producers.

    Not self-serving crap about Brexit, fact.
