If we play like that at Cardiff Mick McCarthy will have a field day.
We were b****y awful!

Not the best of EM derbies by a long shot. The stats say 26 shots (13-13) and 8 on target (3-5) but, in reality, the keepers weren't all that busy.
I think Marshall was likely already feeling his back when they scored. I can't think of another reason he would have let that one in. Roos came on, the first shot he had to deal with bounced in front of him and away off his body, he then pounced to smother it very well. Not unduly worried after that. Apart from the goal their keeper wasn't looking like getting beaten.
Knight had time and space to control and shoot but chose instead to spoon the ball over the bar. Probably all academic anyway as the ref would probably have given the subtle foul by Wisdom on Samba. Then Ribeiro's arm was in anything but a "natural position" and we should have been given the penalty. On the other hand, Kazim's equaliser should have been ruled out for hands.
The ref did make some mistakes but there was no apparent bias one way or the other and overall I think he is one of the better ones we've had this season.
All in all, it was pretty anti climactic and a draw was the right outcome as neither side deserved 3 points.
Wasn’t disagreeing Tricky...just a strange game...your lot totally dominated between the two goals but somehow we had the better chances.
I suspect Hughton will have you up amongst the front runners next season. Hope Rooney receives sufficient funds to do the same.
Top manager at this level, under Hughton they are nailed on top six with autos not a surprise.
I can't see Wayne getting the resources to challenge, it'll be another tough season!
Rotherham and The Owls lost so a good weekend for us.
To me, that is a weird statement mac. If you, temporarily, forget the Cocu games and look at the form we have shown under Rooney, we are 3rd or 4th in the "form table" of his tenure.
Isn't that a better barometer on where we are than the full table including our disastrous start?
You would think so but there are so many variables within the squad. Will Clarke be with us, will finances force the sale of some of our younger prospects, where will the goals come from, can Kaz continue to carry the burden upfront, how long will Bielik be absent, where's the midfield creativity we desperately lack coming from, will the stagnation caused by the ongoing saga known as 'The Takeover' still be with us?? If we can resolve some of these issues then fingers crossed but I, personally, feel that with so much appertaining to the club in some sort of limbo then progress will be slow and difficult!
However, I hope your greater confidence proves to be right!!
