O/T Anyone Booked Holidays for 2021 Abroad

I’m giving it a miss this year, probably end up double booking people.

Cancelled three last year.
Two of them we got refunds, no problems whatsoever.
The third one we moved to late this year. To be honest we're not fussed about going abroad this year and may move it again to next year.
One of the hotel's we booked last year has gone up in price by £250 per person.

Just an heads up for people waiting on their 2nd vaccine.

If you have a 2nd vaccine booked in the next 5/6 weeks, you can cancel and bring the date forward. I've done it and brought it forward to next week at the Arena.

Once you've had both vaccines + waited 14 days, there's a chance travel to some countries will get easier and if the 2nd vaccine increases protection against Covid-19, it's a good reason to get it out of the way..

Had a telephone call yesterday from blood donors, asked me if I had both injections for covid,
which I have, asked about holidays which they always do.
Turns out the telephone centre is in Ireland, to which he said people should not be travelling
abroad at this time, even the green sector.
One thing he said was that 18 year olds were getting the jabs in Ireland, like i said to him this
age group like to take holidays abroad.

I don't get the "desperation" to go on a foreign holiday. Bearing in mind what the world has gone through over the last 12 months - and is still going through - some people need to get things in perspective and get a grip. I love my holiday abroad as much as anybody else but ffs

It's a holiday thread so I posted something about vaccines for people who are thinking of taking one. I also pointed out getting a jab earlier will probably provide more protection against covid.

FWIW, that's the reason I rebooked mine and would advise others to do the same if they can. I have one holiday booked in October that was put back from May 2020. I'm not rushing to book another. Not that it's any of your business.

So maybe it's you who should get a grip. Why did you read the thread? To Sh!t stir by the looks of it.
