    Depends.

The remaining games against Brum, pigs, Wyc, Cov are vit al. We can't afford to lose any of em and preferably win em. We are likely to play some mid table sides at the back of the season who may be more bothered about buggering off to get some sun on their backs later this year and may not feel its worth getting into a physical battle with us if they want a nice sun tan.

Also bear in mind that for some championship players they didnt have much of a rest between this season and last they may start to flop a bit. In saying that our 2 game a week scenario aint doing us much good either.

I don't think the pigs or Brum will pick up as much as Derby or Forest which could benefit us. Also Cov will still be in the frame because I think Robins negative tactics might work against em.

Also any long term injuries to our key players will knacker us eg Tree or Smudge. Losing Lyndsay has made a difference in the last few games.

Suspensions as well. Missing Icky the next 2 games aint good for us.

So a big depends from me. Don't write us off just yet but don't get too optimistic either.

Probably not the time or thread to ask but considering we are discussing staying up I will ask anyway. If we were to go down, which of course we won't 👀 , but if we did, in a purely hypothetical scenario, which players do you think we would lose to Championship teams for next season?

Personally I think Crooks and Lindsay. Ogbene maybe depending on how he comes back, if at all, this season. I don't honestly think many more would get a Champ club. That feels positive but then it probably suggests why we are where we are.

I thought maybe Olasunde after his performance at Everton but he has been poor since that. Was he just trying to get himself ointo the shop window? Crookes I would think will be in demand. Don't think Ogbene will play enough for clubs to form an opinion on him. He could be totally knacked yet. Possibly Lyndsay. Think Smith might go if we get a similar player in. Think we might cash in on Ladapo.

    1 Viktor Johansson -2022 stay
3 Joe Mattock -2022 stay if not permanently crocked
    4 Shaun Macdonald - 2021 stay
    6 Richard Wood-2021 retire/let go
    8. Ben Wiles stay
    10 Freddie Ladapo -2022 go
    11 Chiedozie Ogbene - 2022 stay
    14 Mickel Miller -2022 stay
    15 Clark Robertson -2021 stay
16 Jamie Lindsay -2022 poss go
    17 Kieran Sadlier -2022 stay
    18 Trevor Clarke -2022 stay
    19 Wes Harding -2023 stay
    20 Michael Ihiekwe -2022 stay
    21 Angus MacDonald -2022 stay
    22 Matt Olosunde -2021? stay
    23 Curtis Tilt - 2023 stay
24 Michael Smith -2022 poss go
25 Matt Crooks -2022 prob go
    26 Dan Barlaser -2023 stay
    31 Josh Vickers - 2021 stay
    34 Jacob Gratton - 2022 stay
    Jake Cooper - 2022 stay
    Joshua Kayode - 2022 stay
35 Jake Hull 2021, not sure if he’s still here tbh stay

Worrever happens we will probably have the perennial prob of needing a forrud and a left back. At least we should have our own goalie now.

Yeah I initially thought Olosunde probably but that would of been a few weeks ago like you say. He has definitely tailed off a bit since the Everton game. I can't help but think Smudge is one of those players that will never get the opportunity to play for a more established championship club, but then again I didn't think Revell ever would. Not sure where Freddie would go, be very surprised if Derby came back in for him come the end of the season. Felt like a very short term thing for them to fill a hole in their team to get through the season.

Yes at this stage. That could change in the next few weeks though and so could the “no’s” on this thread.

What’s key is of our remaining games are against sides currently outside the top 8 and we’ve to play most of the bottom 6.

Still very much all to play for.

Either way I'll renew the ST (when and if they're available again)
